Medetera normalis Curran, 1924: Ann.Transv.Mus. (Pretoria) 10: 226 ** Type locality: South Africa. Afrotropical: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Burundi, Congo-Kinshasa, Congo-Brazzaville, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Tanzania *

With very dry situation in Senegal I had time to collect Medetera. This species is most common and I collected 15-20 specimens. Another species (less, short and dark legs, unusualy large male genitalia) is much more rare, but still 5 collected.
