Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Chironomidae ?

Hi,

Im guessing that this a Chironomidae, if so is it possible to take the id further ? Photo taken 23rd June 2006 in Surrey Southern England.

As always any assistance apreciated.

Yes it's a chironomid male, but I don't know that anyone would take it much further than this. What size?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the confirmation, unfortunately size was not recorded at the time - It is something I need to try and get in the habit of this year with my photography, better recording.
