Hello, all,
This one was photographed at Bonneval-sur-Arc, in the French Alps. Alt 1800 m .
In fact I did not notice it at the time, it's on a picture I shot of a butterfly!
But the place was alive with Cheilosia derasa females. This one is a male, obviously, and I was wondering if it might be the same species. Notice the rather conspicuous dark spots on the wings, that female derasa don't have - I could not find a picture of a male C. derasa, hence my query.
If not Cheilosia derasa, does anyone know what it is ?

Thanks for your help
Philippe

Nope, if it has spots on the wings it looks more like a male Cheilosia caerulescens...
