Found this pupa, far from any possible substrate, all alone on my terrace four. Maybe it has been overwintering there when the terrace was covered with snow, or the wind blew it onto the terrace?

looks like a Syrphidae to me. If the posterior spiracle (this darkbrown thing at the background of the second photo) is fused to form e single chitinized tubercle or tube than this is unique for Syrphidae. If not, then....?

indeed, the spiracles are fused, that is, two tubes aedjacent to each other as in 8 . I'm not sure if it's still alive. Maybe it is dessicated and therefore very small.

This fused posterior spiracle to form an 8 is typical for Syrphids. However, I think that 5mm is a bit too small for a mature larvae, indeed. Maybe Menno Reemer can tell something more about the genus
