Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Slender Tachinids from 15.05.13 --> Macquartia grisea

Hello!

These longlegged Tachinidae are rather common in our garden (northwest Germany) at the moment. I am not sure, whether the one on the last picture belongs to the same species. Its eyes meet in the middle (male?). All about 7 mm.

Macquartia grisea is more slender than others, very Muscidae-like.

Thank you. So you think, this is really M. grisea? There were several of them in the garden also this afternoon.

Well, that's my guess - they are usually very grey and slender, like your fly Smile
