Hallo
Bavaria, 20.July
At a forest on
Daucus carota
there was these 1cm
Syrphidae
(?).
When it belongs to family
Syrphidae
it must be
Eristalis
or
Volucella
?
Regards,
Dennis

It is an Eristalis, but some of the Syrphidae-specialists should say which species.

Nope dimidiata is a species from North America. This seems to be a female Eristalis alpina.
