Hello!

This fly from a Prunus spinosa hedge yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany) is a male Phasia hemiptera, right?

Looks like P.hemiptera to me Smile They are double-brooded and the early brood isn't usually very noticable here - well found Smile

Thanks! You are right: these flies are numerous here in late summer, but I had noticed them very rarely in spring.
