I mean the smaller markings nearer to the end (see red lines on picture below). In the "normal"
H. pendulus I know, they are much lighter than the rest of the markings (and nearly white in
H. trivittatus). On this specimen all markings are of the same colour.
It is a female of Helophilus pendulus.
