Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tipulidae or Limoniidae?

Hello!

This rather large (25 mm) crane fly I photographed yesterday in the forest at a pine trunk (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Looks a little bit like cosmIn's here: http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=5835. But is it the same? Thanks!

It is in Tipulidae (with 13 segmented antennae and enlongated palpus as seen in your second image). I would narrowed it down to three possible subgenera within Tipula. Tipula (Pterelachisus), Tipula (Savtshenkia) and Tipula (Vestiplex).

Many thanks! When a Tipulid has such spotted wings and folds them like a Limoniid I'm always unsure...
