I've noticed that the image has dissapeared! Never mind, I have photograhied another maybe more interesting also from Monegros, it resembles Laphystia... Not big.

Not Laphriinae s.f. With those head and eyes shape I think is from Stenopogoninae. Maybe
Cyrtopogon (I've excluded Stichopogoninae because the distance between eyes, along the face, doesn't show a substantial change.

Every time i tried to take a frontal photo the fly moved the body to avoid me frontaly...

Definitely
Laphystia sp. female, possibly
L. erberi (see comments on 55479 thread). An additional
Lapjystia (
L. hispanica) is listed for Spain -- but I have no more info on the fly.
Specimens need to be examined for further identification...

Here I add a new image from Laphystia sp. a couple of days ago... I see it is relative common at Monegros region...
