Hi

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.05.19
* size - 2,5 cm (very big fly)
* habitat - farmland and near river..
* substrate - ground

It's a species of the subfamily Asilinae, may be a male of the genus Dysmachus. Yours

What do you need to be sure about the genus? And to get species level I think it is only possible with genitalia?...
