This fly was found today on thyme as well. I have seen similar species of genus
Cylindromyia
in the gallery.

All I can say is that it is definitely a
Cylindromyia sp.
- but there are a lot of similar species, especially in the south of Europe

Most likely brassicaria, but as Chris pointed out....
