Hi,

is Syritta pipiens correct or do similar species exist (with such big femurs) that I don't know yet?

Hello Lennart,

there are many Syrphidae with thickened femurs, but this is a typical Syritta pipiens female. Besides other characters the red spots on the femora are conspicous.
