Hi,

I believe it's Chironomidae, but I am not sure. I saw a few threads of the subject, but I couldn't tell Chironomidae or Chaoboridae. Please fill me inSmile

Hi Andre
This is Chironomidae - here's a couple of links to Chaoboridae. http://www.dipter...post_13638

If the basitarsus (=metatarsus) of the fore-leg is as long or longer than the tibia, then it's Chironomidae Smile. If it's shorter, it could be all sorts of things (including Chironomidae Sad)

Hi Tony,

Just saw your reaction. Somehow missed it. I see what you mean. So Chironomidae it is. And I guess that's as far as it gets? Thanks a lotSmile
