Dear forum,
I rarely see such kind of syrphids in my garden. So far, I had just individuals, which rather looked like genus Xylota. But could this here now belong to genus Chalcosyrphus, e. g. Chalcosyrphus nemorum?
Thanks in advance for taking a look at this.
Garden, northern upper rhine rift, southwest germany, june, 25th, 2015, size about 10mm
Best regards, Thorsten

Dear Forum,
...long time ago, I admit, but please let me try again...
Maybe it`s "just" Xylota sp.? I add some other angles of that animal.
Best regards, Thorsten
