Hello

Is the following predatory fly a possible member of the genus Dioctria ? Near a pound, in Is?re (France) July 3rd.

cothurnata female, I'd say. Colour of the legs, combined with the vague idea that the 'silverish' stripe at the side of the thorax is short..
Check some collectionmaterial, I'd say :-)

I would say Dioctria hyalipennis: the silverish stripe is on the side of the thorax is complete, the femora are yellow and the coxae are dark (D. linearis has yellow coxae).
