Some more pictures from different angles would be useful to estimate colour and hair pattern of the femora, lateral and frontal view of the head, etc. From the key

This female has a square pterostigma, so either
E. interrupta or
E. jugorum. The latter usually has a dark zig-zag pattern on the wings, but it may be faint. Compare thread

The locality should always been given, it might be helpful!

Thankyou Sundew , I will post future Hoverflies on the Syrphidae forum .The location for this one was Rickmansworth , Herts ,UK. I unfortunately only managed one other image ,before it departed.
