August 14, 2007, Ozhigovo station, Naro-Fominsk district, Moscow region. Size 2.5 mm.
I'm almost sure it's not a
Platypezidae, but what is it then? Maybe
Atelestidae or (less likely)
Opetiidae?

Chalarus, quite a disaster if you want an identification.

the specimen looks like a male, many males are yet to be associated with their females so Jervis does not key all species of this sex
