Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Red Asilidae ID

I photographed this red Asilidae near the little village of Salbertrand in Susa Valley, Piedmont (Italy) at 1000 mt above sea level, on July 17th. Is it identifiable?

Stenopogon sp. Difficult to get an ID with only this picture. I would say it is something related to S. sabaudus (with a lateral view I might be able to confirm or say 'no way!'Wink.
