Hi all,
at a cone of larch (Larix) I found frass, making me curious what was inside.
By cutting the cone in half, a mine in the center of the cone became visible, filled with more frass. An orange/reddish maggot was there, too.
It reminds me of a gall midge larva, however, I cannot find any Information about reddish larvae inside cones of larch.
There is Lasiomma laricicola, but as far as I found out, larvae are whitish.
Can anyone help with ID?

Thanks in advance - and Kind regards
