Hello again,
I have more in the box, I dont want to be a nuisence.
This one was portraited in La Vall D'Aran (Lerida) Pyrenees, Spain at 1600 mts. in fresh grassland pasture. Calcareous soil in the proximities of a birch forest.
Early July 2007.-
Once again thnks very much for your efforts.

NOT the Scathophaga stercoraria (the most common) by sure!

Thanks again JOrge, youre a genius.-

No. not a genius. Just a crazy man for flies.

Don?t ask me why!

Interesting fly, next week I'll show it to Andrey Ozerov
#6
And the reason it's not
Scathophaga stercoraria is ...?

#7
is... I should be quiet in saying possible genus for Scathophagidae.

It is a female. Females of
S. stercoraria are *very* variable in colour: yellow, reddish, green, grey...
I'm not 100% sure your fly is
stercoraria though.

So what are the other possibilities? Those are fairly definitely dark antennae. Very curious now

While we're waiting, I just wanted to say it's a very nice picture, Rafael!
