Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphus fly?

I'm not sure about this syrphid. At first sight it looks like a Syrphus sp. or a Eristalis sp. It is about 15 mm long.

Myathropa florea. Pattern on thorax very distinctive.

I totally agree with Stephane, but I?ve never seen this species with such orangy colouring. Is this the true colour or is there something wrong with my screen..Shock

Such orange specimens make about 2-5% here in my region (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Some also have a different striping:
