Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ichneumonidae - Pimplinae ?

Hello,

I observed this Ichneumonidae the 20th of August in Calais in the north of France. I think of a female of Pimplinae, what do you think ?

I would say it looks more like Banchinae, tribe Glyptini.

It's true that it is really similar but the ovipositor seems longer here ?

Ovipositor length varies. See for example Glypta bifoveolata.

Thanks I don't know that ovipositor length varies ! That complicates again the identification of Ichneumonidae !!!
