You should transfer this thread in the Asilidae subsection to attract the experts!
It is a female, so identification is tricky. As to leg colouration, it might be
Tolmerus atricapillus, but there are similar species...

Oh, there's a subforum for those too!
Is there a way to actually transfer the thread, instead of deleting posts here and posting them again there? I cannot find such an option...

Yeah, I just did it today with a Syrphid -- but that looks like littering the forum to me...
So, moderator - could you please transfer this thread to the Asilidae subforum?

It is a female and I'm afraid that they are near to impossible to ID from a picture without an accompanying male.
