Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fly Needs Identification

On a cool October day not many insects were moving around, but this one was. I'll post two views, on showing primarily the body (wings) and one that includes the very long legs as well.

Any help with the ID would be appreciated!

This is a fresh emerged crane fly of Cladura flavoferruginea. It is organge-yellow in color when the body hardened. They are one of the autumn speciesin your area that will last well into November .

Thanks very much, Chen, that is very helpful! Now I will keep an eye out for a darker one. Love those antennae!
