Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fat hoverfly (AT) -->Eriozona syrphoides

I found this hoverfly near a small creek in southern Upper Austria (altitude about 600m). Approximately the size of a bigger bumble bee. In the beginning though it was Volucella bombylans, but was told otherwise in another forum. Any idea what it could be?
