Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae from Bolivia

Dear all,

this Muscidae? was found on 07.10.2019 in La Paz, Bolivia at an altitude of 3800m.
Any further ID possible?

I think Microcerella is the only green-eyed Sarcophagidae.

Quoting Pape's 1990 review of American Sarcophaginae: "Microcerella is most diverse in the neotropical region and especially at high altitudes and in the southern temperate zones."

I consider most Sarcophaginae hopeless even with a specimen. A handful of genera or subgenera have distinctive features. Unfortunately the easy ones are mostly from south of where I live.
