Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Greek hymenoptera - Colpa sp?

Photographed on the 6th October, Skala, Kefalonia. Several feeding on this particular plant on sand dunes.

It looks like Bembix.
I never have seen this magnific plant (Echinophora spinosa)

Thanks Isidro. I wondered about Bembix, but am very poor at Hymenoptera! And it's nice to put a name to this plant. it was the only species on the dunes in flower and attracted many bees and wasps.

I am not sure about the family, perhaps it is a Scolioidae. In any case, it is not a Bembix (Pronotum reaches tegulae, so a Vespoidea comes is probable).
