Hello,

I have collected it in France, 30 km from inner Paris, early march 2020, in aquatic vegetation growing in a little stream coming from a kind of pound.
At this stage, it was 550 µm long, so very small.

I observed it under a microscope.

On a famous social network, a microscope group, one told me "Drain fly larva".

So could it be a Psychodidae's larva ?

Thanks ! Smile

Unfortunately, I lost it ...

Could those views allow to go further in identification ? Looking at the short size, could it be a larva of first instar ?

Thanks !

This is a very young stage of a Psychodidae. Unfortunately it is impossible to ID it any further....larvae are notoriously difficult. It looks a bit like Pericoma or Satcheliella, but again, very difficult
