Hi,
Here is an interesting fly from 15 June, seen in a wood in southwestern Germany, 20 km west of Stuttgart. I think it is a male. Eyes and arista are bare. Wing venation recalls Sarcophagidae, but the head, especially in profile, is not sarcophagidish. The orange femora look very nice. I do not know where to place this fly, so I am very curious to learn your opinion!
Many thanks, Sundew

OMG: Redtenbacheria insignis !!
Very rare, but recorded from the north of France on this forum and even further north to be published.
It looks amazing like some Calliphoridae, but, of course, the yellow legs give it away instantly.
