Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unknown Syrphida
#1
Hello,
I compare the biodiversity on an organic field with conventional farming. For that, I examined Syrphidae amongst others. The field is located in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim, Germany, at 50°03'57.1"N 8°19'04.2"E
The fly referred to in this post has a wing length of approximately 5.25 mm and hair stripes on the eyes. Photos are attached.
I hope somebody can help me, at least with the genus. This is the only specimen that I haven't found out anything specific about.
Best Regards
Constantin

I couldn't post more pictures in one post so I do it here.
Edit:
I am sorry, it isn't working at the moment. I hope the one picture is sufficient. If more are needed, e.g. the wing or underside I will try it again.

Hi Constantin, I'm quite sure it's a Paragus quadrifasciatus.

Hi Eric,
Thanks, that looks good
Are you able to confirm it 100% with more pictures?
I tried like that but it didn't work. Always, when I clicked Post the picture wasn't attached. Maybe the Internet connection isn't good enough.
Best Regards,
Constantin

I'm sure that more pictures would help.
On the attaching: are you sure that your photos meet the requirements of the forum? No spaces in filenames, not more than 200000 bytes... See the FAQ
