Hello everyone,
I found 2 Cylindromyia sp. in copula, in 04101 Lardiers, France, 31/07/2020
I think this is C. brevicornis because of the presence of long bristles on the postero-ventral part of segment 2 of the abdomen, I would appreciate confirmation or correction

So, tergite 2 is actually syntergite 1&2, hnece, the first visible tergite.
You are looking at tergite 3.
There are no bristles on syntergite 1&2 and also other features point to C. brassicaria.
Brassicaria is (very) common and brevicornis pretty rare, so this makes sense.
