Doesn’t look like a Tachinidae.
Current impression is a male of Phyto (Rhinophoridae) with narrow vertex, like Ph. similis or cingulata. That would be a spectacular find.
* Check the shape of lower calypter
* Check the “operculum” of the posterior spiracle = breathing opening ( just below base of wing). Do you have one large lid (check on any Tachinidae, or Calliphora) or just a bunch of hairs ( = Rhinophoridae).

Thanks! I think it has the lid thing, but you can see for yourself. .. Have tried to photograph lower calypter at different angles.

Yes ! First picture definitely show hairs on the edge on spiracle, but no obvious operculum. Strongly suggesting Rhinophoridae. Did you check the postscutellum ?

Yeap, just slightly swollen, Definitely Rhinophoridae, hence definitely Phyto. Great find !!

So, it is most definitely a male Phyto cingulata !
Very rare species, or at least little seen. It is known from several localities in Sweden, including the type by Zetterstedt. I have no idea if it has been recorded previously from Norway.

Can not see that there are any finds of this, but the species name is included in the Norwegian reporting system - so maybe it is in an old collection ...
