Hello,
I would like to ask the ID of this Tachinidae, photographed on Oct 22, 2020. The size is 18mm. I'm thinking of female of
Tachina nupta. Any form of help is appreciated!

Yes, indeed. This male is similar to the ones seen before and to the ones recorded from Ussuri. It has one proclinate orbital and hence it ismreferred to as “nupta”. That said, the third antennal segment is much broader than in European specimen. Whether or not this represent as separate species ( for which the name micadomis available) remains and open question. If the two forms are allopatric, it might be more a matter of taste than of science.
