hi flyforum,

Yesterday I found this little yellowish fly on treebark in the Amsterdam Forest.
Looking in the diptera gallery, it matched quite with Meiosimyza rorida.

But there must be more candidates Wink

Robert,

Impossible to say for certain without a view of the inner side of the fore femur, where rorida should have a row of short setulae.

Why are these nice littel flies so difficult SadSadSad

Is it to provoke people like me? Shock

Never give up Wink and give it a try Wink We'll find these row of short setulae !
(or not and rest with it)

Thank you Paul for the reaction

p.s.: It is certainly Meiosimyza spec., isn't it?
