hi flyforum,
Yesterday I found this little yellowish fly on treebark in the Amsterdam Forest.
Looking in the diptera gallery, it matched quite with Meiosimyza rorida.
But there must be more candidates

Impossible to say for certain without a view of the inner side of the fore femur, where
rorida should have a row of short setulae.

Why are these nice littel flies so difficult

Is it to provoke people like me?
Never give up

and give it a try

We'll find these row of short setulae !
(or not and rest with it)
Thank you Paul for the reaction
p.s.: It is certainly Meiosimyza spec., isn't it?
