Thread subject: Diptera.info :: "hopping" flies (mating display?) --> Dolichopodidae, Chrysotus laesus

Hello,

in summer I watched some flies "hopping" on leaves of Artemisia vulgaris. It looked as if it was a mating display, or only males trying to boot each other out.

This is Chrysotus laesus, no doubt about it.
