Hi Jorge, thank you very much for your confidence in me. However, I have to decline the honor since I have very inadequate knowledge on the fauna and phenology of European crane flies. All I can help out here is limited to the family or generic level identification. But, don?t give it up, we just have to wait patiently since the crane fly fauna of Europe has been intensively investigated and well documented, plus the majority of crane fly researchers are located in Europe. Soon or later one of them will show up to participate in the joy of identification.
As for the image here, it does look like a female in the Tipula (Tipula) group. Three species T. paludosa, T. oleracea, and T. subcunctans have been recorded in the Netherlands. Male genitalia are needed to tell them apart. T. paludosa and T. oleracea can also be separated by the distance between their eyes on the bottom of their head. See
