Thread subject: Diptera.info :: NOT Chrysotoxum (I think)

At first sight, this looked to me like another Chrysotoxum sp., but it doesn't seem to have long antenna (so I remembered something!). What do you guys think?

Exactly what I had thought for the Chrysotoxum! Hope you're right, that way I'll have the two to compare, Wink Sarah

This is Eupeodes indeed, corollae to be precise! A female.
See the short antennae, for example, in comparison to the Chrysotoxum?

That's great! Now I have the two for comparison. Yes I do see the difference Andre and it was thanks to the previous discussion that I at least didn't set off down the wrong path! Thanks to you all, Sarah
