Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Phryxe nemea - male?

hi flyforum,
This fly parasited a caterpillar of Phlogophora meticulosa.
It must be Phryxe nemea, and looking at the single, long and strong bristles on the frontal head it is a male. Isn't it?

It's Phryxe, it's a male indeed and it looks like Ph. nemea.

You have 'some' hesitation about Ph. nemea, do you?
I can give you a view from above, perhabs that will help?
Or what specific image is needed?

You are right, I have some doubts on the nemea-part.
A lateral head shot would help.

Looks like
nemea to me - wide separation between the parafacial and facial ridge bristles - plus a mustard-coloured parafrontal/frons area
