Looks like Rhinophoridae, maybe Phyto discrepans (R5 with stalk shorter than cross-vein r-m, legs black, frons only 0.1 head-width)

Well spotted, missed it at first glance.
Note the outer clinate orbital: Rhinomorinia sarcophagina male

Thanks a lot, happy it could be IDed.
In my defense, Rhinophoridae was my first guess, but going through all the (french and british...) species, and filtering for those without the typical R5 stalk there was none that fitted the above. In the diptera gallery, I must have skipped just that one photo...
Excluding Sarco as well, all I was left with was a tachinid.
