I think this is a male Medetera sp and looks like a Medetera jacula which either way is a new record for Shetland. Anyone confirm? |

It seems that the 2nd dorsocentral bristle is short. If so, then M. truncorum group.

Thanks for that Igor. I did manage to catch one of these yesterday which is currently running around in a tube. Anyone willing to ID it from the specimen I can send it ASAP. I don't know if it's a male or a female [yet], should that matter. Regards Roger. |
