Hi, initially I suspected Trichoceridae, but the wing pattern doesn't match. So I am putting my money now on Dicranomyia morio - does this seem like a good bet? Vienna, late July in a backyard garden. Length about 4mm Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |

The images of D. morio in the Catalogue of the Craneflies of the World fit quite well! Regards, Sundew |

They do, but are there any other species to confuse with?
