Since neither hind legs nor face is visible, it must remain as Helophilus sp. (m). |

On closer examination, the right hind femur seems to be just visible beneath the right wing. There seems to be onlt a tiny spot of yellow at the tip. This would accord with male Helophilus hybridus which often have the sports on tergite 4 barely visible, as this one. |
