I pictured this specimen of Leucophora in my garden (Belgium , Wanze) on 2022-03-28. I usually use a special lens called Micro-Nikon 200mm F/4, so : DOF is about 2mm at the distance here 63cm !!! That will say : it's not because you don't see setae that they dont exist. You must use the right picture to know it ... This is the reason why I need so much pictures ! The specimen was measured (on picture) : 9,0mm It seems to be a male. This specimen is heavy hairy. Arista is bare. Claws are yellow. Tibias are beige-yellow. Except the normal setae, the notopleuron seems bare. Many setae at the tip of abdomen which is heavy hairy. Here are the picture : Dorsal view : nervation ![]() Arista, face setae & T2: ![]() General view ![]() Profil Abdomen, calypsters and claws ![]() ![]() ![]() Setaes on T2 ![]() ![]() ![]() Notopleuron (but best is the last picture) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Notopleuron, T2 ![]() Best view on notopleuron : ![]() Thank you for comments and ...
