this fly was about 6-8mm found in Germany, Northrhine-Westfalia, Waltrop, 26. 3. 2022 Is more ID possible? May be P. rudis or P. vagabunda? greetings Angelika/Reimund Edited by Reimund Ley on 16-04-2022 18:44 |

Hi, difficult to see - but I think this male has a dark basicosta which excludes P. rudis. The black median stripe on the thorax as well as the dark line in the middle of the abdomen could lead to P. cf. vagabunda as there are not enough characters to be sure (humeral and poshumeral bristles, short flagellum, slender build, longer legs as other Pollenia).
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |
