Found this one yesterday on the beach at Garths Voe, Shetland. One I haven't seen before. Crap photos [again] but possibly ID'able from them...

Thanks for that Iain. I've had A.ferox before [a male] it looked totally different to this one, Sexual Dimorphism? Very distinctive antennae... https://diptera-i...osylus.pdf https://diptera.i..._id=101614 The only other Aphrosylus I've seen here was an assumed A.celtiber which I posted on here but never got a response... https://diptera.i...d_id=49250 Regards Roger Edited by Roger Thomason on 02-09-2022 10:18 |

Thanks for that Igor, I've tried finding ones in the same location since I found this one, to no avail. Will keep looking but weather not the best ATM. There's supposed to be only one Rhaphium sp.on my list for here, but... Had these examples in the past, https://diptera.i...d_id=48412 https://diptera.i...d_id=55373 https://diptera.i...d_id=91873 Regards Roger. Edited by Roger Thomason on 05-09-2022 12:35 |
