Hello, Pierre Duhem : France : Bessans : 73480 : 30/07/2022 Altitude : 1744 m - Taille : 7-8 mm Réf. : 311097 Pierre Duhem : France : Bessans : 73480 : 30/07/2022 Altitude : 1744 m - Taille : 7-8 mm Réf. : 311098 On our French forum, we were thinking about Helina impuncta for this sand-coloured fly. Then somebody asked for a picture of the legs: Pierre Duhem : France : Bessans : 73480 : 30/07/2022 Altitude : 1744 m - Taille : 7-8 mm Réf. : 311204 Could it be Phaonia angelicae? Thanks in advance for your comments. Pierre Duhem |

Hello Pierre, from what I see, female Phaonia angelicae is correct. (H. impuncta should have 1 to 3 pair of elongated prst acr and more distinctly shaded transverse veins.)
