Thanks for the help from you both. I looked in the Photogallery at P. nitidula & photo (3) I noticed along the leading wing edge has a row of short hairs & then one longer hair at the end of the subcostal vein where there is a small notch in the wing. I can see the same in my first photo; is this something that all Psilopa Species have or is it unique to P. nitidula? Thanks again. |

The leg colouring fits nitidula. The bristles on the wing edge are not diagnostic in this species.
