Tipula fascipennis ?
Petra
Hallo, is this "Tipula fascipennis"?
Thanks, Petra
Switzerland, Toggenburg, 16.8.2023 (Deadfound, Wintergarden)

I agree with Tipula subgenus Lunatipula but I think the top of the thorax is too orange for T. fascipennis. Can you make photos of the hypopygium (with different angles) ?

Petra
This foto color is made from my iPhone

Petra
Hello Axel, thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, my husband has already disposed of the animal. I have another photo. Unfortunately photographed at the same angle.

In the Webfauna database, these tipula are possible with "lu".

118 different "Tipula species" can be entered in the database Webfauna (Switzerland).

With the second picture, I think it can be T. fascipennis. The colours are OK and the white prestigmatic lunule is long and extended along CuA1 behind dm cell. The hypopygium seems to ba compatible with this species on the last picture but I can't see all the appendices.

Petra
Thank you Axel for your valuable comments. Greatings from Switzerland, Petra
