Hi, Please let me show you a series of yellow Drosophila species. I hope we can put them in a group at least. This female is from southern Brandenburg, photographed on 30th September. It was laying eggs in a stack of firewood. As only the posterior crossvein is clouded and the anterior isn't, and the shape of the dark tergite markings is different, I rule out D. kuntzei. More pics. There MIGHT be the characteristic row of about 8-11 short sharp spines on the apical half of the anteroventral surface of the front femur (marked in green). |

Yes, D. immigrans female. The dark denticles on the fore femur are well visible, although not exactly where the arrow points. |

The arrow just points to the green line  (that is marking the denticle row). So I got the right species - wow! Thanks! |
